12/04/2008 DISP-APPROVED Based on the foregoing, we answer the certified question as rephrased in the affirmative and approve the decision of the district court. We hold that Schmidt v. Crusoe, 878 So. 2d 361 (Fla. 2003), is applicable to all claims that, if successful, will directly affect "the length of time the inmate will actually spend in prison." Id. at 366. Such claims constitute "collateral criminal proceedings" for purposes of section 57.085, Florida Statutes (2005), as explained in Bush v. State, 945 So. 2d 1207, 1213 (Fla. 2006).
