Apr. 9, 2015), this Court should not accept jurisdiction in this case, summarily quash the decision being reviewed, and remand this case for resentencing under the framework established in new legislation enacted by the Florida Legislature in 2014. Click to open document 08/22/2016 DISP-REV GR MERITS (QUASH & REMAND) (TAG) Upon review of the response to this Court's Order to Show Cause dated June 27, 2016, the Court has determined that it should accept jurisdiction in this case. It is ordered that the Petition for Review is granted, that the Second District Court of Appeal's decision in this case is quashed, and this matter is remanded to the district court with instructions that the case be further remanded for resentencing in conformance with chapter 2014-220, Laws of Florida, which has been codified in sections 775.082, 921.1401, and 921.1402 of the Florida Statutes. See Landrum v. State, 41 Fla. L. Weekly S274 (Fla. Jun. 9, 2016); Lawton v. State, 181 So. 3d 452 (Fla. 2015). No Motion for Rehearing will be entertained by the Court.
