06/29/2017 DISP-DISAPPROVED Accordingly, we disapprove the First District's decision below in Carpenter and hold that the good-faith exception to the exclusionary rule does not apply to the officers' warrantless search of Carpenter's cell phone in this case. Moreover, although Willis reached the correct result, we do not adopt the reasoning used in reaching that result. As such, we disapprove of the opinion in Willis to the extent that it conflicts with this opinion. It is so ordered.*REVISED OPINION ISSUED ON 11/02/2017*
